Recurrence once again worked with J-F Dagenais and JFD Studios for mixing and mastering their album, which features an array of talented guest artists such as Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork, Night Flight Orchestra), Peter Wichers (ex-Soilwork), Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), Sebastian “Seppo” Lindgren (The Duskfall, We Are to Blame), and a Recurrence fan favorite, the incredible voice of singer/songwriter Bec Hollcraft.
The first single “Remember Who the Enemy Is” (set to be released on June 27) derives its name from the dystopian series The Hunger Games. “We chose this song to be our first single, because we felt it fit the theme of the album perfectly,” explains The Antidote. “As a fan of The Hunger Games franchise, I wanted to have a music video that matched the lyrics of the song and the visuals of the films. Scott and his team at Digital Thunderdome went with our vision and built a whole set from scratch and this video turned out better than we could have ever imagined!”
Art of Survival is a groundbreaking blend of many metal genres, along with crushing breakdowns, electronic elements, and even authentic South American folk instruments performed by Ecuadorian musicians Andrés Villagomez and David Misael Pozo Bastidas. The Antidote emphasizes “We have something very special and unique with this album and we want to make sure we do all we can for the world to hear it. Although it is a lot darker lyrically and musically than The Exit, the album is still very much inspiring and about overcoming suffering and learning from failures. We pushed ourselves even harder this time around and experimented with new sounds and instruments and we really believe we created something very unique in the world of metal.”
Art of Survival will be released on November 5, 2025 via YYMBR Records and will be available on Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and all digital platforms worldwide.

“ReExit (The Mixtape)”
THE EXIT REMIX ALBUM out now! ⟶
On the question of why to release a remix album, The Antidote answers "We thought while our fans were waiting for the new, upcoming album - Art of Survival - that we would do something special for the one year anniversary of our debut album The Exit. We decided to release a remix album, in the style of a mixtape. I have always been a fan of underground hip-hop and rap mixtapes and remixes and I thought it would be fun to do something similar with our music. We have a lot of chopped & screwed remixes of songs from The Exit, as well as some 8-bit or "video game" remixes of these songs".
Not only are there remixes of their hit singles on the upcoming release entitled ReExit (The Mixtape), but there are also unique and rare tracks. The Antidote explains "We also wanted to include some instrumentals and medleys of the songs to inspire people to hear the songs in a different way and maybe even do their own vocal covers too. We also wanted to include songs off our original demos and EP dating back to 2011 and 2012 that are really hard to find, just to show our growth and evolution over the years, and bring back memories of the good old days!"
